About

Accessibility Ireland was founded by three accessibility professionals hailing from Wicklow, Kildare, and Donegal, who have a passion for promoting and driving accessibility and inclusion throughout Ireland.

Founders

Michael Hanton

Michael has spent the past 5 years working as a digital accessibility consultant across healthcare, e-learning and design systems. His background also includes experience in frontend development, customer success and technology and strategy consultancy.

Mick Keane

Mick has been a digital accessibility consultant for over 6 years and works in the area of accessibility standards. He is experienced in testing, training and presenting on web and mobile accessibility. He has a background in frontend development.

Gareth Crossan

Gareth started out in the digital accessibiliy space around 7 years ago, and now works full time as a digital accessibility consultant. His background is in graphic and web design.

Anna is an accessibility advocate and educator with a background in UX/product design. They have experience serving as an accessibility program manager and an accessibility champions program lead.

Ben is a designer working in UX and service design. He is passionate about making digital experiences and services accessible to all. Previously Ben worked as an Accessibility Reviewer, monitoring EU WAD (Web Accessibility Directive) compliance within the public sector.

Saleem Rahman

Saleem is a Senior Digital Accessibility engineer. He collaborates with designers, developers, and QA testers to help create software that is inclusive of people with disabilities. As an expert screen reader user, both personally and professionally, Saleem has a deep knowledge of screen reader functionality and behavior on mobile and desktop environments. Saleem is passionate about disability inclusion.
